Our Training Commitments

"We are committed to training our owners on the use of the their machines. We are also committed to offering informative, fun classes and clubs."

CLASS POLICIES

All class supplies must be purchased at Jeanette’s Fabric Boutique (You will receive a 10% discount).

YOU MUST SIGN UP AND PAY AT LEAST 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE.
To receive a refund, you must cancel at least 48 hours in advance.
You need to bring your own machine for hands-on classes or make arrangements in advance to rent one.
Scissors and basic sewing supplies are necessary for all hands-on classes.
For owners' classes, you must have your machine, its accessories, scissors,the instruction book, brightly-colored thread (4 different colors of thread for sergers--8 for an Evolve), and embroidery thread for embroidery machines.
For quilt classes, you need a rotary cutter, mat, and rulers.
Minimum enrollment for a class to be run is 3 people, so we will cancel one week ahead if enrollment does not warrant offering a class.

We'll send you periodic EMAIL SPECIALS letting you know that we have updated the web site with all kinds of new stuff and notifying you of special events and offers for Jeanette's email friends. 	ONLINE CLASSES FROM THE COMFORT OF YOUR HOME!
You can get even more out of your Designer's Gallery software and Baby Lock products with Sew@Home online classes. Sew@Home is a collection of hour-long live and pre-recorded classes that will teach you basic functions of your software as well as help you discover new techniques, shortcuts and more. Ask us for details on how you can register for these classes.

Clubs

NOTE: To join any of our clubs, just come in and sign up, or call to register (574-862-4207). It is important that you sign up each month, so that we can properly prepare for the club.

UFO Club:
This club is for you if you have UnFinished Objects (projects) stashed away in your sewing room. We enjoy each other’s company while we sew for the day, working to finish those projects. The club normally meets on the first Monday of the month. Club fee is $ 3.00 per session or $ 24.00 per year. (Please check space availability)

Sewing Lovers' and Embroidery Club:
The club is free if you own one of our embroidery machines and free for one year if you purchase a new sewing machine from us. Otherwise cost is $ 6.00 per session unless you purchase a kit . Each month we share sewing and embroidery tips and enjoy show-and-tell. We also are continuing our Civil War Tribute Quilt and will be adding a new Embroidery quilt and others as the year progresses.

OWNERS’ CLASSES

General Information: You receive free machine owners and software classes if you purchased your machine or program from us; others pay $ 30.00 per class session. For machine owners’ classes, bring your machine, its accessories, bright-colored thread (embroidery thread for your embroidery machine and 4-8 different colors for your serger), scissors, and your instruction book. You will need to purchase an owner’s workbook at your class. For software classes, if you bring your laptop with your program loaded and an external mouse, you can work along with us. Classroom size is limited, so call to reserve your space soon.

Creative Classes

Every month we offer some type class to keep your creative spirit moving. From purses to quilts, beginner to advanced. All class supllies must be purchased at Jeanette's Fabric Boutique (you will receive a 10% discount). You must sign up and pay at least 2 weeks in advance. Minimum enrollment is 3 people, so we will cancel one week ahead if enrollment does not warrant offering the class.

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR SPECIAL CLUBS

50 Yard Club—Many of you are working hard to fill up your cards while others are working on their second and third cards and have already gotten $ 25.00 gift certificates. Great News! Because we have changed computer systems, your fabric purchases are now automatically tracked on your receipt, no need to mark a card! Be sure to ask about the 50 Yard Club the next time you purchase fabric.

Finish It Up Club— Each month we post pictures of all of the entries in our front window. Check them out when you visit and bring your completed project (or projects) made with fabric purchased from us. We’ll include your picture the next time—and maybe even let you know that you’re a winner.

Birthday Club—Don’t forget to present your drivers’ license during your birthday month and you’ll receive a discount on one purchase equal to 1/2 your age. This discount applies to all regularly priced merchandise (excluding sewing machines and sergers). For some of us, that’s getting to be a significant percentage!

Join the Cut-Ups! —You can use our new AccuCut cutting system to cut strips, squares, rectangles, and appliqué shapes for your projects. This takes the drudgery out of cutting and gives you accurate cuts in a fraction of the time. For a fee of $ 5.00 per month (or pre-pay for a year and save $ 10.00), we’ll teach you to use the AccuCut. Then all you have to do is call and make a reservation. Use it as many times as you like during the month to cut fabric purchased in our shop (there will be an extra charge to cut fabric purchased elsewhere).
